Terms of service

Funded before anyone posts, assigned before anyone submits, paid on approved work. The rest is detail.

How the platform works as an agreement. Read this alongside the privacy notice, which covers personal data.

Who this is between

These terms are between you and [Registered company name] ([RC number]), which operates the platform. They apply whether you use the website or the Creator mobile app.

You must be 18 or over. Creators must complete identity verification before receiving any payment.

What the platform is — and is not

We connect brands running funded campaigns with creators who publish on their own social accounts. We source, review and track that work, and we release payment for work that is approved.

We are not a party to the creative relationship beyond the brief you both agree to, and we are not your employer. Creators are independent and responsible for their own tax.

We do not own or operate Instagram, TikTok, YouTube or Facebook. Your use of those services is governed by their terms, and their rules — including on disclosing paid partnerships — apply to you.

Money is escrowed before anyone works

A brand funds a campaign in full before creators are assigned. Those funds are held by a partner bank in a segregated account — not by us, and not as our working capital.

Because the budget is fixed and already funded, creators can only submit to campaigns they have been assigned to. Applying is open; submitting is not.

Payment is a fixed amount per campaign plus an optional performance component, both set out in the brief before you accept it. All amounts are in Nigerian naira.

Fees

The platform fee is charged to the brand on top of the campaign budget, and is calculated on the amount actually released to creators. Unspent budget returns to the brand.

Nothing is deducted from the amount a creator agreed. Where a bank charges for a transfer, that charge is passed through at cost and shown before you confirm a withdrawal.

Current rates are on the pricing page. We will give at least 30 days' notice before a fee change, and it will not apply to campaigns already funded.

Content, and who owns it

You keep ownership of content you create. What the brand may do with it is set per campaign in the content-rights terms attached to that brief — the licence, where it may be used, and for how long.

Rights are granted only when a submission is approved and paid. A rejected or withdrawn submission grants nothing.

You must not submit content you do not have the rights to, including music, footage or images licensed to someone else.

Review, tracking and approval

Submitted content is reviewed against the brief. Reviews combine automated checks with human moderation; a person makes the final call on anything rejected.

Once published, we read engagement figures directly from your post using the access you granted when connecting the account, for as long as the campaign runs. Figures are read from the live post, not estimated.

Attempting to inflate engagement — bought followers, engagement pods, bots — is grounds for withholding payment on the affected campaign and closing your account.

Payouts

Approved work is credited to your balance and can be withdrawn to a Nigerian bank or mobile-money account in your own name. We do not pay to third-party accounts.

Withdrawals require a second authentication factor and a completed identity verification.

A transfer that fails or is reversed by the receiving bank is returned to your balance, and we will tell you why.

Disputes

If a brand and a creator disagree about whether work meets a brief, either can open a dispute. Escrowed funds for that submission are held until it is resolved.

We review the brief, the submission and the review record, and decide within [10] working days. Our decision determines how the escrowed funds for that submission are released.

This does not remove your right to go to court, and nothing here limits rights you have under Nigerian consumer law.

Suspension and closure

We may suspend an account for fraud, engagement manipulation, failed verification, or a serious breach of these terms. Where we can, we tell you why and give you a chance to respond.

You can close your account at any time. Withdraw your balance first, and any campaign you are assigned to remains your commitment until it is completed or released by the brand.

Liability

We are responsible for running the platform with reasonable skill and care. We are not responsible for a campaign's commercial results, for a social platform changing its rules or API, or for losses we could not reasonably have foreseen.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Changes

We will give at least 30 days' notice of a material change, by email and in the app. Campaigns already funded continue under the terms in force when they were funded.
